He commented about the fact that the motoways weren't labelled correctly, as well as the usual stuff. Kind of spoils any film lol.

I myself am being totally boring in that I haven't seen a movie of any kind for a long while. I find it hard to sit in one position and fear the confines of the cinema (a new phobia??) and at home I just don't fancy it

mmmmm

KAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10557263.post-1121399426475986092005-07-15T04:50:00.000+01:002005-07-15T04:50:00.000+01:0028 Days Later didn't work for me. The bits people usually rave about from my experience are the empty London street scenes ... and how eery they looked which kind of passes me by anyway ;)

Yesterday I watched The Aviator. I thought it was crap, 4 out of 10.

I also watched Closer ... which I thought was OK, 7 minus. There were some big gaps in the narrative / leaps of logic that annoyed me. Why and how did Dan know that Anna wanted to go back with Larry even though she had bought a copy of the signed divorce paper to show him and also seriously appealed to Dan to remember who he was talking to? (this'll mean nothing if you haven't seen it) And how come as a viewer I got no incling anything was going on here? It saw the film manoeuvre into non reality. And why was 'stranger' such an important theme - or rather just an accentuated word from time to time, not a great theme at all? And why did Alice do what she did (I had to rewrite this sentence because I realised I was giving away a significant part of the plot).

hey hoDamonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04921295141019123629noreply@blogger.com
