One small step for mankind
| AJ is forty-two today. He has had a difficult week, getting rather overwhelmed with all kinds of boring things to do with cars, file servers and someone called Fedora who sounds like a bitch. Even so, I asked him, "How does it feel to be forty-two?" He thought about this and replied, "Well, it's about twice as good as it felt to be twenty-one." Which is rather good, I thought. We went round to my folks' for tea, where I drank ginger beer and became dangerously talkative. I really wish I would shut up sometimes. You too? Oh. I will in a sec, but I did want to mention that Alexander took his first step! He was exactly nine months old yesterday. He actually took two steps before sitting down again. He did this twice in one day. He is catching up fast. Labels: Cooing, Events, General Nonsense, Love |

post a commentHappy birthday AJ!
Many happy returns! It's a good answer.
"Dangerously talkative" as in "if I don't shut up soon, everybody in a 20metre radius is going to be utterly convinced I'm a babbling moron"? (that's the one I do). Or dangerously talkative as in saying things that really, really, really aren't for the ears of whoever is listening and having to backtrack?
Thank you. :-)
Mary - uh, both I think! :-0
AJ and I were born on the exact same day! I was born at seven in the evening, so he's likely just a bit older than me. Happy happy!
